BVC: A weekly performance in the green

It is in the green that the Casablanca Stock Exchange (BVC) ended the period from June 29 to July 03, 2020. The two main indices, Masi and Madex thus gained respectively 1.11% and 1.10% .

At the end of this period, the Masi, a global index made up of all equity-type stocks, posted 10,225.67 points and the Madex, a compact index made up of continuously quoted stocks, totaled 8,302.58 points.

Under these conditions, the “Year-To-Date” (YTD) performances of these two barometers are placed at -16.30% and -15.99%.

As for international indices, the FTSE CSE Morocco 15 gained 1.18% to 9,184.14 points, while the FTSE Morocco All-Liquid posted an increase of 1.23% to 8,743.54 points.

Concerning the benchmark Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) “Casablanca ESG 10”, it gained 1.15% to 758.53 points.

At the sectoral level, the “Building and Construction Materials”, “Food” and “Transport Services” compartments closed with increases of 2.81%, 2.54% and 2.12% respectively.

On the other hand, 7 sectors posted decreases varying between -4% for “Mines” and -0.18% for “Software and computer services”.

In the process, the market capitalization amounted to 527.02 billion dirhams (MMDH).

The volume of the week stands, for its part, at 1,542.06 million dirhams (MDH).

Regarding the best weekly performances, they were signed by Dari Couspate, Ciments du Maroc and Alliances with respective increases of + 6.01%, + 5.36%, + 5.11%.

In contrast, Delattre Levivier Maroc, CTM, and Atlanta posted the largest declines with -6.72%, -3.47% and -1.42%, respectively.

On the podium of the most active stocks of the week are Cosumar, Attijariwafa Bank and Itissalat Al-Maghrib, with respective shares of 23.85%, 18.32% and 11.16%.
