Broken during a fight and now auctioned for 385,000 euros: the story behind Oasis’ red guitar

Oasis soared to highs in the early 90s, along with bands like Blur and Suede, with guitar rock/pop back dominating the charts with hits such as “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back In Anger”.

Band members and brothers Liam and Noel refused to give interviews together from the start, because they always had big fights. Their toxic relationship was extensive fodder for the tabloid press.

In 2009 their paths split. Noel went for a solo career, Liam stayed and continued Oasis with Beady Eye. Their bickering continued quietly on social media. A few years ago, Liam sent for a reunion, but to date nothing has come of it.
