The fire chief brags about the family
Fire Chief Erik Walin at Larvik fire station also praises the family.
– The fire was almost extinguished when we arrived. The family had done a great job. They had torn down walls and started the fire with powder devices. Had they not acted so quickly and been so energetic, it could have gone really bad, Walin says to VG.
He says that a pipe fire was first reported.
– The alarm to the security company rang and alerted us. It quickly turned out that it was not a chimney fire, but a fire in the wall by the kitchen. The cause of the fire is currently unknown, he says.
Everyone was checked out of the ambulance after being exposed to smoke.
– All good with me, said Bjørn Kjos, according to Eriksen.
