Audi introduces another SUV coupe, the Q4 Sportback e-tron electric concept

Next year, Audi will expand its portfolio of e-tron electric cars. After the pioneer in the form of a middle-class SUV with the simple name e-tron, a pair of smaller Q4 e-tron SUVs will arrive, among other things. They will already use the group’s platform for electric cars. Like the Volkswagen ID.3 or the Škoda Enyaq.

The more stylish Sportback variant, which is currently being introduced in the form of a pre-production concept, is an inch lower than the default Q4 and also shows the interior divided into two parts, but seemingly close to series production.

“Ninety percent of it is a production car – we’ve made the concept a little wider and lower – and some bumper details will change,” designer Amar Vaya told British Autocar, noting that the concept’s touch door handles, for example, are unlikely to go into series production.

The Sportback has the same technique as a more moderate sibling. The concepts are powered by two electric motors with a system power of 225 kW, 306 hp. Each drives one axle, so it’s an all-wheel drive car.

Thanks to this, in both cases the acceleration from zero to 100 km / h takes only 6.3 seconds. Maximum speed is limited to 180 km / h. The battery pack has a capacity of 82 kWh. According to the stricter methodology, WLTP provides a range of over 450 kilometers. It can be charged with an output of up to 125 kW. It should only take 30 minutes to reach 80% capacity.
