James Diggerproducer, composer and arranger of Plouzelambre, just released the 5e clip from his album Badaboombap volume 2. It’s at New York that Arnaud Herry shot the images, for his collaboration with the rapper Punchline on the track “Stupid Mother F*****”.
The surprise of the filming location…
“We’ve been working together for some time, it was important that we meet in person, because today, in the industry, we collaborate more and more remotely and we don’t always have the opportunity to see each other,” says James Digger. He has known Punchline since 2009, and it was the latter who found the location of the shooting: the Les Coleman Skatepark.
He took me to southeast New York. It’s exactly under the Manhattan Bridge, on the New York side. There is this legendary skatepark. There is an atmosphere that emanates from this place…”.
Moviegoers will recognize!
“It’s a city that is still magical to me,” says James Digger. The Trégorrois had embarked a travel camera in the suitcase. He edited the clip in his studio in Plouzélambre.
“It’s a piece where it’s what it says that’s important: it’s not a clip where you have to necessarily image the text, with such a place, so huge, very high, which already has character , and which is enough to highlight the MC (the artist, note)”.
For movie fans, the plans will surely tell you something: the clip was shot very close to the escape scene in the film « Joker » (2019).
A collector’s version of the album
This clip is the 5e from the album Badaboombap volume 2″, after “Badaboombap 2” (Tedji and Helmé), “Bitter” (Masta Ace), “Top Ten” (Souffrance and CenZa) and “Strasbourg” (Dooz Kawa).
“I received a very warm welcome for the album, more so than the first. I felt that there was an extra step that had been taken. This gives strength for the future”, continues the artist. An “ultra collector” version of the album, “with a little surprise”, in only 10 copies, should be released soon. Notice to collectors!
“Even at 40 years old, we still realize childhood dreams: that’s it, it’s done, I went to shoot a clip in New York”.
