The organization promotes the education of children in vulnerable situations on the north coast of the country
The companies Altice and Phoenix Tower International, through their respective foundations, provided high-speed internet connection to the main offices of The DREAM Project, a non-profit organization that focuses on the educational development of children and young people who They live in a situation of extreme vulnerability, in 15 communities along the entire north coast of the country.
The initiative was carried out through the Altice Foundation and the Wings Foundation, organizations through which Altice Dominicana and Phoenix Tower Internacional (PTI), respectively, carry out their community support programs, as part of their commitment to social and sustainable development. of the countries in which they operate.
The donation consisted of providing the headquarters of The DREAM Project, located in Cabarete, Sosúa, with a 150MB internet connection, which will allow access to connectivity in all its offices, and especially in the digital classroom of said campus. This will facilitate the efficient development of your educational programs, and that administrative tasks are carried out more effectively. With this support, the organization will continue with literacy, early childhood special education, youth leadership, music instruction, and community support to the more than 8,000 children who are beneficiaries of these programs.
Present at the formal ceremony were the CEO of Altice Dominicana, Ana Figueiredo, Dagan T. Kasavana, CEO of Phoenix Tower International, the acting minister counselor of the United States Embassy in the Dominican Republic, Alexander Titolo; and Jonathan Wunderlich Director of Development The DREAM Project.

As part of its intervention strategy in matters of sustainability, one of the pillars on which Altice’s social investment focuses is on generating high-quality educational opportunities for Dominicans, and for this it is committed to the effective provision of Internet as a spearhead for closing the digital divide, existing in the country.

The Embassy of the United States was also key in this alliance, which seeks to encourage the development of children and families that make up The DREAM Project programs.

Finally, The DREAM Project Development Director, Jonathan Wunderlich, thanked Altice and PTI for their support, which will be key to continuing their altruistic work in the Dominican Republic.

The event counted with the participation of the group from the Bachata School of The DREAM Project and a representation of the beneficiary children who gave a few words of gratitude.
