– On the night of 26 May, an agreement was reached between NHO Mat og Drikke and NNN in the mediation for breweries and mineral water factories. Thus, there will be no strike in the brewing industry, it says in a press release from the parties.
– We are pleased to have agreed with NNN in the mediation of the Brewery and Mineral Water Agreement, says Nikolai Astrup Westlie, director of working life and collective bargaining at NHO Mat og Drikke, it is further stated in the press release,
The mediation deadline expired at midnight. Around 02 o’clock on Thursday night, the parties state that they have reached an agreement.
Among the companies that could have been affected are giants such as Ringnes and Coca-Cola. Breweries such as Aas, EC Dahls, Hansa Borg and Mack could also have ended up with workers going on strike if the parties had not reached an agreement.
