The 32-year-old Denis Faccenda, himself a former junior and player of the 1st team at the FCA, should take over the leadership of the fan team from summer 2020. This does not happen now: Due to the recently changed objectives, Faccenda has decided not to take over the coaching position. This is announced by FC Altdorf in a message on Thursday. The Uri football club very much regrets this decision. Head of Sports André Lussmann said of the personnel: “We would have loved to start the new season with Denis Faccenda. Unfortunately, however, due to unexpected departures, especially from local players, we now have a new starting position that has changed the way we originally planned. » As our newspaper knows, six players will leave the club.
The club will provide information about the sporting goals as soon as the coaching question is resolved and the team planning is completed. “Despite this difficult situation, we will not change our strategy. Our goal remains to provide a local team with a maximum of two to three good quality foreign players, »explains the sports director.
Discussions are currently underway regarding the new trainer solution. “It is important for us to find a solution that our young team can shape and develop,” says André Lussmann.
