Frederic Diefenthal had honestly told TVMag: “I do not care [de Taxi 5]. And I say it without bitterness. I was offered it, but, Emilien without Daniel [Samy Naceri, ndr], It did not make sense. And it’s even a real satisfaction that it is done without me: it stuck to my skin and I need to free myself from it.“
Regarding Samy Naceri, Franck Gastambide really wanted him to appear in Daniel, especially with Malik Bentalha playing his nephew. But he explained that Naceri wanted a bigger role than what was offered to him. Words that made Naceri blow up on Twitter at the end of the film.
