Just before ten o’clock, the fire service received a report of a traffic accident at the Tunsberg tunnel in Voss.
A person on a motorcycle must be the only one involved in the accident, and the extent of the damage is unknown.
According to the duty commander at 110 Vest, Jan Ove Haga, the air ambulance is on site.
– This is a very serious accident, he says.
Drove into the barrier
The tunnel was closed due to car salvage, and the person is said to have driven into the barrier that blocked the tunnel opening.
The fire brigade moved out from both Voss and Granvin.
– We have assisted with everything we can assist with, both first aid and securing the scene of damage to handle leaks and clean-up, says duty commander at 110 Vest Jan Ove Haga.
According to Haga, the air ambulance will remain on site until further notice
