The hospital has launched an internal investigation

Requested Wednesday by 20 minutes, Sète hospital reacted this Thursday morning. In a press release, management indicates that it was “informed on May 25 [lundi] of the care of a young patient by the emergency department and of her transfer to a serious state in intensive care at the Montpellier University Hospital where she died. ” “An internal investigation was carried out without delay in order to shed light on the facts”, indicates the hospital, which specifies that, “taking into account the rules surrounding medical confidentiality, nothing concerning the care of this young patient will not be communicated ”.

The hospital did not state in its press release whether an injection error was made. The establishment also indicates that it will “make every effort to understand the circumstances of this care”. For their part, the Occitanie Regional Health Agency and the Montpellier hospital did not respond to our requests on Wednesday.
