TheCovid-19 outbreak continues to grow in
New Aquitaine with 122 new confirmed cases identified by Public Health France. The new report, released by the Regional Health Agency on Wednesday, brings the total to 2,663 confirmed cases in the region since the start of the epidemic.

ARS recalls that these figures do not include all people not tested Covid-19 identified by city medicine and that the department figures include cases that have not yet been geolocated and attributed to the department of the laboratory which carried out the test.

In detail, 797 people are currently hospitalized, five more than the day before, and 242 people are currently in intensive care or intensive care (one less than the day before). It should be noted that 739 people have been discharged from hospital since the start of the epidemic, but that the ARS deplores a total of 165 deaths among those hospitalized (13 more compared to the previous day).

This Wednesday, according to data sent by the Ehpad, 137 establishments out of the 898 in Nouvelle-Aquitaine declared one or more possible or confirmed cases of Covid-19 among residents or staff. That makes twenty Ehpad concerned more than the day before. Among these reports, 616 residents were recorded as confirmed or possible cases (suspects presenting with symptoms) Covid-19 (53 more compared to the previous day). Of these possible or confirmed cases, 32 died in institutions (7 more than the previous day) and 19 died in hospital.
