The 31-year-old Swede has spent the last five seasons on the Khimki team, during which he has gone on the field in 251 games, scoring 5052 points and returning 1352 assists, which are club records.
Last season, the Russian defender played an average of 30 minutes in one match, scored 21.7 points, made 7.2 assists, won 2.8 rebounds, intercepted 1.0 ball and scored 21 efficiency points. Swede has scored at least ten points in 188 games in a row since April 10, 2016.
In these five seasons, he has become the most productive player of the ULEB Euroleague (2018), the most valuable player of the United League season (2017, 2019), the MVP of the All-League All-Star Games (2020), the most valuable player of the ULEB European Cup (2017) and received other awards.
Before joining Khimki, Swede played for the National Basketball Association (NBA), where he represented Minnesota’s Timberwolves, Philadelphia’s 76ers, Houston’s Rockets and New York’s Knicks for three seasons. In the strong league on the planet, the Russian basketball player went to the field in 182 games, in which he scored an average of 7.4 points, distributed 2.5 assists and won 2.0 rebounds.
Before going to North America, Swede was part of the Moscow CSKA until 2012, spending a small part of the six seasons in the teams of Khimki and Moscow Dynamo.
Khimki took seventh place in the Euroleague at the end of the season, but the Muscovites were the leaders in the United League.
