The pioneers of the Twitter site launched the hashtag “We are all army”, to be among the list of most blogged on the site of tweets, and the artist Muhammad Huneidi was keen to participate in it, through his official page.

“I am Egyptian and we are all behind the Egyptian army, and any Egyptian leadership decisions will be taken to defend Egypt and its national security from thugs and mercenaries,” Henedy wrote.

The National Security Council met yesterday, under the chairmanship of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, to discuss the current developments related to the Libyan crisis, and the threats arising from external military intervention in Libya.

The presidential spokesman stressed that a set of measures had been identified at various levels to address any threat to Egyptian national security.

The Turkish parliament had approved a bill for Erdogan that would allow sending troops to Libya.

In a strongly worded statement, Egypt yesterday condemned the approval of the Turkish parliament to authorize Erdogan to send military forces to Libya.

The Foreign Ministry said that any possibility of Turkish military intervention in Libya is a development that threatens Arab national security in general, and Egyptian national security in particular, which requires taking all measures to protect Arab interests from such threats.
