Delcy Rodríguez, vice president of the Nicolás Maduro regime, said this Friday night that new quarantine measures will be announced soon in the face of the expansion of the coronavirus in the country.
The information came after the state of national alarm was extended for one more month. It is the fourth time that the time of the coronavirus emergency has been extended.
The first time the emergency was decreed was on March 13, when the first two cases of covid-19 were confirmed. Since then, the regime has applied confinement measures and mobility restrictions.
In the last two months, some of the quarantine measures have been relaxed in a scheme that madurism calls 7 + 7, which contemplates 7 continuous days of flexibility for some economic sectors, followed by 7 days of radical quarantine.
However, several states complete three weeks without flexibilization due to the presence of significant foci.
This Friday confirmed the highest daily number of coronavirus infections to date, with 431, for a total of 8,803 cases.
