June 30, 2020 – Nyck de Vries expands his already crowded agenda with an extra championship. The fast Dutchman will compete with G-Drive in the European Le Mans Series.
This year, De Vries is racing with the Mercedes factory team in Formula E and is also active in the World Endurance Championship with Racing Team Netherlands. With the Dutch formation he also participates in the 24 hours of Le Mans.
In the coming months, his agenda will be further filled with participation in the ELMS championship. The season was initially scheduled to begin in April, but has been delayed by the corona virus. Now the first race is scheduled for Sunday, July 19. This will be held on the Paul Ricard circuit. The other races will be held at Spa-Francorchamps, Barcelona, Monza and Portimao
De Vries forms a team with Mikkel Jensen and Roman Rusinov in the strong formation, although the question is whether he can take action during the round at Spa. That race on August 9 coincides with one of the Formula E races in Berlin. His replacement for G-Drive is not yet known.
