COVID-19: another screening day without appointment at Mercier

Given the heavy traffic during the passage of the mobile COVID-19 screening clinic in Mercier on Thursday, CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest and the Region’s Public Health Department are announcing another walk-in day for coronavirus screening this Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Roger-Tougas Community Center.

Recall that several citizens and workers of Mercier, Sainte-Martine, Châteauguay and elsewhere in the region have recently been declared positive for COVID-19. An increase in cases that has resulted in the temporary closure of some businesses and restaurants. At the request of the City of Mercier, the Montérégie Public Health Department had deployed its mobile walk-in screening clinic last Thursday at the Roger-Tougas Community Center. There was a lot of traffic which justifies the addition of another screening day this Saturday, July 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Like last Thursday, people who will go to the Roger-Tougas Community Center at 730 boulevard Saint-Jean-Baptiste (route 138) in Mercier, will have to use the entrance at the back of the building. Don’t forget to bring your health insurance card!

The CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest reminds that any person who presents symptoms similar to COVID-19 or who wishes to undergo a screening test can dial, Monday to Friday, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. 450 644-4545.
