Antwerp FC: all 12,500 subscriptions for next …

Football club Antwerp has completed its subscription sale. In total, the club sold 12,500 season tickets.

That is almost a thousand less than last season, because the big move from atmosphere grandstand 2 to the new grandstand 4 and a number of supporters have not renewed their subscription. All subscriptions are out now. Approximately 2,000 tickets will be offered per competition match, half of which will only be offered for business.

Antwerp FC started selling subscriptions for next season in early June. And even though it is not yet clear when and how many supporters can take place in the stadium at home matches, it went like clockwork. The club clocked in at 12,500 subscriptions. That is 800 less than last season, when the club closed on 13,300 subscriptions. The reason is simple: about 500 subscribers did not renew their subscription and the club did not sell all available seats in the new gallery 4.

Pitches become seats

Because the old and majestic atmosphere grandstand 2 closed irrevocably, all those supporters had to move to the new grandstand 4, behind the goal and connecting to the main grandstand. The new gallery has 3,800 standing seats at the bottom and 3,700 seats at the top. But since the pitches for European matches have to be converted into seats and the capacity is cut in half, the club did not sell all seats to regular subscribers.

This provides a nice extra for competition matches: per match there will be a little less than 1,000 standing places in stands 4 sold separately, as well as a limited number of places in stands 1 and 3. For business customers, there are also nearly 1,000 places available, but only on the main stand and only at the invitation of companies and sponsors. In addition, the club also maintains its ‘free your seat’ system, whereby subscribers who cannot attend a match can offer their place for sale through the club.

The club is also looking for a solution for the few dozen supporters who cannot get a seat in the new stand 4. After all, the demand for seats in that stand was greater than the supply. They may be offered to move to Main Stand 1 on a voluntary basis.

All subscribers will receive an email with their assigned place later this week. Then, from July 4, they can pick up their subscription at the club. The ticket corner will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays for the first few weeks. After two weeks only on Thursday and Saturday.
