The FFF has communicated the arbitration appointments for the 28th day of Ligue 2 which is being held this weekend. To officiate during the meeting between the 1st and the 13th in the championship, the federation has appointed Guillaume Paradis as main referee!
A referee known to both teams!
Guillaume Paradis has officiated as center referee 15 times this season in Ligue 2! He has already met the Stéphanois 3 times this season: Valenciennes / ASSE (2-2) and Sochaux / ASSE (2-1) and ASSE / Dijon (2-0). The 29-year-old referee has also refereed the leaders this season: Le Havre/Annecy (2-0) and the Le Havre/Bordeaux clash (1-0).
This season, Guillaume Paradis has a balance sheet with the Greens: 3 games, 1 victory (Dijon), 1 draw (Valenciennes) and 1 defeat (Sochaux).
During these 15 L2 games refereed this season, Mr Paradis distributed 67 yellow cards, 3 second warnings resulting in a red card, and 6 direct red cards. A referee who is therefore trigger-happy! He also refereed 2 Coupe de France matches.

The day Guillaume Paradis entered during the match in Sainté!
If this is the 1st season that Guillaume Paradis officiates as a center referee in the same division as AS Saint-Étienne and that he can therefore claim to officiate in the center of the field, it has already happened in reality in the past once.
In January 2018, during the return match between Etienne and Caen, Sébastien Moreira officiated at the whistle. But the latter was injured in the 34th minute and was forced to give up his place to the 4th referee, who was none other than Guillaume Paradis. That evening, he thus became the youngest referee (24 years old) center in the history of Ligue 1.
