yunhap news-There is a controversy that a kindergarten teacher in Seoul put chemicals such as mosquito repellents and surfactants in food that children eat. On the 27th, one of the victim’s parents filed a petition for the Blue House requesting a strong punishment for the teacher.
Petitioner said, “While watching the video of the children asking for more rice and side dishes, the parents shouted not to eat even though it had already happened, and struck the chest with their fists and shed tears.” “I used my fingers to mix, and I stretched as if I was feeling good, and I even showed a relaxed gesture.”
According to parents, the kindergarten side consistently thinks of the victims’ uncooperative attitude regarding procedural problems. The perpetrators also protested against the position system and formed a group of lawyers to even apply for cancellation of the position system.
Parents are currently unable to disclose the victims to their children for fear of being shocked. CBS Nocut News conducted a direct interview with the victims of the Blue House national petition.
The following is one question and one answer to the parents of victims who filed a petition for the Blue House.
yunhap news–-What is the current condition of the victim?
=I don’t know what kind of problem will happen to my child (in the future). I think it’s fortunate that it’s not lethal. Even though it is a small amount, some experts say that the body could be damaged when taken for a long time. If it were late, it could have been as bad as the humidifier disinfectant victims.
-A total of 17 people were damaged, but what symptoms did each of the children show?
= Children complained of hives and headaches. Even after 10pm, a child who was active suddenly fell asleep at around 6pm, and there was a child who had a double nosebleed for 20 minutes. There were also children whose whites were swollen like warts, and the child who was constipated usually continued to have diarrhea.
-What is the reason for the delay in children’s health checkups?
=I was able to get a health checkup on December 23rd (after knowing what substances to consume), one month after the incident. I wanted to have a health checkup immediately after the incident, but it was meaningless to have a checkup without knowing what the (intake) substance was. He also said that even if he did a test, the hospital couldn’t figure out what substance he took. So I waited for the results of the noodle tree. After hearing about the mosquito repellent and surfactant from the results of the noodle tree, I thought the sky was falling. The allergy and lymphocyte counts of the 17 children who were affected were different (unusual). Allergy levels rose up to 14 times.
-In the national petition, they claimed that the measures taken by the relevant authorities were insufficient. What was your biggest complaint?
= Even though the children’s allergy/lymphocyte counts were abnormal, the doctor did not write a statement that it was due to harmful ingredients with an ambiguous answer. Since I did not write a remark, the Office of Education did not admit (damage) that there was no direct relationship between the allergy level abnormality and this incident.
-It is said that unknown powder was added along with surfactant and mosquito repellent.
=In my view, it is like (washing) powder detergent. It is difficult to clarify in detail because it is not accurate, but it is like powder detergent that was fed to special children. The powder is sometimes mixed with an unknown liquid.
-Has the teacher’s criminal behavior been revealed yet?
= I think only that person (the abuser) knows. That person is not normal. Even the police stick their tongue out.
-Did the teacher appear to be insanity?
=I hate to hear such a story. If you have a mental disorder, wouldn’t you be commuted? Some people have heard rumors that they are driving insanity for commutation.
yunhap news–-Is the police investigation going well?
=I don’t trust the police 100%, but there are many victims, so I guess I did the investigation properly. Currently, the fourth round of investigation is over, and it is likely to be decided next week. There is also a plan for protests calling for arrest next week. Did the perpetrator not return to kindergarten to destroy the evidence proudly after the incident?
-What are the charges applied?
= Child abuse charges. In a recent child abuse survey, a result of’abuse is correct’ came out.
-It seems that the perpetrators are responding, such as’cancellation of job position’?
= The perpetrator is responding by forming a group of lawyers. At the time of the 4th investigation, I waited in front of the police station, and there was no reflection on it. I do not know. It’s unfair,’ and went for an investigation. It seems that I expect to be able to come back (to teaching).
-There seems to be a problem with the attitude of the kindergarten director where the incident occurred. Is communication with the parents well?
=I don’t communicate. There were times when mothers visited them saying they needed CCTV in a kindergarten, but (the director) questioned procedural problems for violating the Personal Information Protection Act. In addition, I was told that if the perpetrator disagrees even if the child appears on the screen, the mothers should receive the mosaic-processed video of the perpetrator and pay the mosaic cost. The police also did not help because they were investigating. So I made a request for information disclosure, and even this was denied. It takes months to get CCTV for actual child abuse cases.
-You seem to have a lot of complaints about the progress of the case?
= The director is not cooperative. When the parents asked,’Please do a medical checkup quickly,’ the director replied,’This is my first time, so the procedure is complicated, so please wait.’ Another day, when there was a safety management manager (scholar) at the Seoul Southern Education Office, who was attending an emergency meeting, he didn’t come and asked why he wasn’t coming. I heard that there are a lot of reporters in kindergarten now and they don’t even go to work.
