The production company CTP, which was suspected of offshore tax evasion by former executive producer Lee Soo-man of SM, explained that it strictly abided by local laws and paid all taxes.
CTP issued a press release, saying that the company was an overseas producing corporation established in Hong Kong, China and operating a subsidiary in Beijing, and that CTP and producer Lee Soo-man strictly complied with the relevant laws.
At the same time, it was emphasized that the rumors caused a huge blow to the company’s brand, and that individuals and subjects who spread false information would be held legally responsible.
Previously, Lee Sung-soo, co-CEO of SM, argued that Lee Soo-man, former general manager, established an overseas version of Like Planning called CTP and preempted 6% before settlement between SM and overseas label companies, claiming that he was aiming for offshore tax evasion to avoid being monitored by the National Tax Service.
