[스포츠니어스 | 김현회 기자] Busan I-Park Yoon Seok-young transfers to Gangwon FC.
According to a soccer savvy official, Yoon Seok-young is said to be facing a contract with Gangwon FC. An official added, “Suk-young Yoon is returning to Gangwon FC,” and added that “the situation is just ahead of the medical test.”
Starting with the U-17 youth national team, Yoon Seok-young worked through the national team by age, helping to win the first bronze medal in Korea at the 2012 London Olympics. After that, he participated in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and built his national career.
Debuting in the K-League in 2009, he played four seasons in Jeollanam-do, playing as a leading defender and transferred to the English Premier League QPR in 2013, becoming Korea’s 11th Premier League. After that, he joined FC Seoul on loan in 2018 after having been active overseas such as Doncaster Rovers FC, Charlton Athletic, Danish League Brooby, and J League Kashiwa Raysol.
After playing 22 games at FC Seoul in 2018, he transferred to Gangwon FC in 2019, the following year, and played 28 games to solidify his position as the main match. However, after leaving for Busan last season, he was pushed out of the main game with only six games due to injuries and poor game sense.
Gangwon FC plans to fill the absence of resources such as Shin Kwang-hoon by returning Yoon Seok-young after a year. Recently, Gangwon FC is trying to strengthen its power by holding Hwang Moon-ki, who played an active part in FC Anyang, and Lim Chang-woo. Gangwon ended the season with 9 wins, 7 draws, 11 losses and 34 points in the league last season, ranking 7th in the league.
