[국제]Brazil “China’s Sinobac prevents 50.38% of COVID-19 vaccine”

Sinobac, a Chinese pharmaceutical company, which has undergone a phase 3 clinical trial in Brazil, barely exceeded 50% of the vaccine against COVID-19.

In a press conference on the 12th at the local time, the Butantang Research Center under the government of Sao Paulo, Brazil, revealed that the overall preventive effect of Sinovac’s Corona 19 vaccine,’Coronavirus’, was 50.38%.

The institute reported the findings to the Ministry of Health’s National Hygiene and Monitoring Bureau and said it exceeded the 50% required for emergency use approval recommended by the World Health Organization.

The coronavirus prevention effect is much lower than the 78% announced by the state government of Sao Paulo last week, so controversy over the actual efficacy is likely.
