As part of a joint investigation by the Osnabrück public prosecutor’s office and the Osnabrück drug investigation team (Hanover Customs Investigation Office and Central Criminal Inspection Osnabrück) for violating the Narcotics Act, around 1.2 kilograms of heroin and 2 kilograms of excipients were seized on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in Georgsmarienhütte 2 people are arrested.
As the investigation, which has been going on for almost a year, has shown that a 47-year-old German father, in addition to his legal work, also traded drugs. To this end, he regularly bought heroin and excipients from a group of perpetrators in the Netherlands and had them delivered to his home by a courier. He then supplied the BtM scene in Georgsmarienhütte and Osnabrück. An increased control density, which was caused by the corona pandemic, made life difficult for the perpetrators at times.
On June 10th, 2020 the 47-year-old and a 48-year-old Moroccan drug courier from the Netherlands were arrested by a special police unit.
In addition to this security, 2000 EUR cash was seized in the courier vehicle. When a German bunker was searched at the same time, another 300 grams of heroin ready for sale were seized.
The man also had to part with his high-quality vehicle first. The drug courier’s vehicle, which had been equipped with a professional hideout, was also confiscated.
The Osnabrück District Court ordered the two suspects to be held in custody.
