The shooting of the new case of the inspectors Karin Gorniak (Karin Hanczewski) and Leonie Winkler (Cornelia Gröschel) and their supervisor Peter Michael Schnabel (Martin Brambach) has started. The head of a garden center was brutally beaten to death. A young man with mental problems is an urgent suspect.

While working in the greenhouse, Patrick Teichmann (Nico Rogner) discovers the body of his mother-in-law Heike Teichmann. Garden worker Juri (Alexander Schuster) flees, the murder weapon in hand, and is the first to be targeted by investigators Gorniak and Winkler. But the victim’s daughter, Nadine Teichmann (Kristin Suckow), is also a potential perpetrator. Because the inspectors experience a family business at the scene of the crime, which seems far removed from a peaceful coexistence of three generations under one roof. There is also no question of marital harmony between Nadine and her husband Patrick Teichmann – they are about to separate.

Events take a new turn when an important witness is eliminated and the autopsy reveals that Heike Teichmann suffered from Broken Heart Syndrome. Apparently she was in an emotional state of emergency recently. With their psychological sensitivity, the inspectors track down the truth – which leads far back into Heike Teichmann’s past. Now her daughter Nadine, who was just a suspect, has to fear for her life. Karin Gorniak and Leonie Winkler are challenged by the unknown perpetrator to a breathless race, which ends in a shocking discovery for them…

Marcus Kanter (“Faster than Fear”, “In the Forest”) is responsible for the image design.

Filming will continue until March 9, 2022. The broadcast date is expected to be in 2023 on the first.
