The world climate summit COP26 showed that it will continue to be up to companies to have even more impact on climate protection. The Climate Action Summit of ClimatePartner confirms that they have understood their task.
A majority of the more than 1,000 participants announced in a survey that they would strengthen their climate protection measures in 2022:
- 86 percent of those who took part in the survey said they had Step up climate protection measures in the next year.
- For almost 30 percent, it is mainly Reduction measures focus on corporate issues.
- Above all, 23 percent see increased demands on suppliers as a central element of their future climate protection measures.
- In third place of the priority measures, at 18 percent, is the expansion of the carbon footprint to include other product groups and business areas.
- Almost 50 percent see a CO2 footprint as the basis for their general climate protection strategy.
- The respective one has the greatest influence on the climate protection strategy in companies Conviction in active climate protection. This is what 36 percent of the survey participants see.
- Have one more influence on the strategy Market requirements from business partners, suppliers or investors. Almost 20 percent see this as the biggest driver.
