Ford has added particularly versatile and attractive design variants to its Transit and Custom ranges. They can already be ordered and will be launched at the end of summer on the Swiss market:
The “Trail” versions are available for Transit (positioned in the 2 tonne payload category) and for Transit Custom (positioned in the 1 tonne payload category). They have been specially designed for use in difficult conditions. Thus, a new mechanical limited-slip differential, which is part of the standard equipment of the front-drive “Trail” versions, improves the traction of these vehicles, in particular on slippery surfaces. In addition, there are striking design elements with an off-road look as well as a high-quality interior with partially leather seats. For their marketing, Ford offers the Transit Trail van as well as the Transit Trail chassis exclusively with four-wheel drive, the versions for Trail passenger cars only with front-wheel drive and mechanical limited-slip differential – but the range aims to expand to include ‘to come up.
The “Active” version is initially available for the Tourneo Custom 8-seater people carrier. “Active” is synonymous with “crossover style”. Clearly: characteristic design elements give the “Active” versions a visual expression of the active life of their owners – whether used for business or leisure. “Active” versions of the more compact Connect series are already in preparation and will also debut this year.
