On February 8th, 2021 at around 12:40 a.m., residents of Straße Im Kirchtal in Troisdorf heard a loud bang. They noticed two men at a hypermarket on the corner of Flachtenstrasse, who had apparently smashed a shop window. After one of them had tampered with in the market, they both fled towards the nearby hospital. The witnesses alerted the police, who immediately initiated a search. A little later, two suspects were brought to the scene of the crime. They had several bottles of alcoholic beverages with them that had apparently been stolen from the market.
