1. Broken glass in the sandpit – Neu-Isenburg
On Saturday morning, playing children discovered broken glass in a sandpit at the Birkengewann playground, near the Neu-Isenburg fire brigade. As part of the subsequent inspection by the regulatory office of the city of Neu-Isenburg and a patrol from the Neu-Isenburg police station, countless broken glass were found in the sandpit, which were also deeper in the sand. It is not known since when the broken glass has been in the sandpit. As a precaution, the Neu-Isenburg Public Order Office closed the playground and initiated the replacement of the sand. Fortunately, the discoverers of the broken glass were unharmed.
The police in Neu-Isenburg are now investigating whether the broken glass was deliberately hidden in the sandpit and is asking witnesses to call 06102 29020.
2. E-scooter stolen – Obertshausen
A 16-year-old from Frankfurt was victim of a robbery on Saturday at around 10:15 p.m. at the train station in Obertshausen. A roughly 9-year-old boy asked the man from Frankfurt that he was carrying an e-scooter and asked whether he could drive it. When he refused, the 16-year-old from a group of four was beaten by a 15-year-old teenager and robbed of his scooter. All five people then left with the S-Bahn in the direction of Rodgau.
The main culprit is described as around 15 years old and 175cm tall with curly hair. He was dressed in black sweatpants, a black T-shirt and a Gucci cap with a striking tiger print.
The police in Offenbach will receive information about the perpetrators on 069 8098-1234.
