1. Youngsters on construction crane boom – Obertshausen
On Saturday evening around 10:40 p.m., two 15 and 17-year-old young women from Obertshausen who entered a construction site in Bahnhofstrasse and climbed onto a construction crane to, according to initial investigations, took selfies with theirs caused a larger police and fire brigade operation following a witness report Make cell phones by yourself on the boom. The estimated height was 25 meters. The girls did not respond to a speech from the ground by the police. An officer climbed the inner ladder to about 20 meters and asked the young people to leave the crane immediately. When descending, the girls stated that there would be other people on the front boom, but this could not be confirmed by the use of the turntable ladder of the Obertshausen fire brigade. An attempt to escape after the descent of the young women, who were under the influence of alcohol, was prevented by the officers. While the 17-year-old immediately admitted her involvement, the 15-year-old vehemently denied having been on the construction crane. The video recording of the construction crane, however, speaks a different language. The 15-year-old will have to do without her cell phone for the near future. It was secured by the officers for the purpose of evaluating the selfies. Until the end of the mission at 11:50 p.m., Bahnhofstrasse between the Omega tunnel and Brüder-Grimm-Strasse was completely closed to vehicle and passenger traffic. The girls were given to their parents.
