District Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald – Gottenheim: On December 28, 2021, around 3:50 p.m., the police were informed that a horse had been killed at a riding stables “Im Ried” in Gottenheim. The police investigation revealed that a 36 year old, frail horse was brought to death by means of a battle gun at the instigation and in the presence of the owner. The veterinary office of the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald was involved in the investigation by the police.
The trade / environment service of the Freiburg Police Headquarters is investigating a violation of animal welfare law and asks witnesses who have observed the incident to report to the Breisach Police Station (07667 9117-0).
