A driver from the Regensburg district caused a traffic accident yesterday afternoon. The 52-year-old was driving on Magdeburger Allee when his navigation device asked him to turn left in the middle of the Schlüterstraße intersection. The driver then turned left, ignoring the tram coming from behind. His BMW crashed into the tram, luckily no one was injured. At the time of the accident, the traffic light was switched to red for left-turners. There was property damage totaling 20,000 euros. (CD)
