The federal police recorded several arrests at the weekend at Freiburg Central Station.
On Saturday morning (September 12th, 2020) a 37-year-old German citizen was checked at the bus station in Freiburg im Breisgau by officers of the federal police. When comparing the data, the officers noticed that there were three arrest warrants against the woman that had to be executed. In 2016, the woman was sentenced to two prison terms totaling more than five months for multiple thefts. A year later, the wanted person was sentenced to a further eight months for robbery. Since the 37-year-old never started the prison sentence, she has now been arrested by the federal police and taken to a correctional facility.
The same happened on Sunday morning (13.09.2020) for a 34-year-old with Polish citizenship. There was also an arrest warrant against him. The man was fined EUR 875 in 2018 for fraud. However, the man never paid the fine imposed by a court. He was also unable to raise the required amount on site. He was also arrested by the federal police. The wanted person was taken to a correctional facility, where he now has to serve the 35-day replacement prison sentence.
