As the municipality of Zweisimmen announced, the municipal council has, among other things, approved a loan to secure the primary care emergency service in the region.

Tim Klossner, a former apprentice in the municipal administration, will continue to work on a 40 percent basis until the end of July 2026.
This decision was accompanied by the approval of a supplementary credit of 10,000 Swiss francs for 2024. Klossner will mainly support the construction administration and occasionally the financial administration.
Emergency GP service also secured in summer/autumn 2024
The municipal council has approved a commitment credit of 13,769.68 Swiss francs to continue the project to secure the primary care emergency service in the region in summer and autumn 2024.
The organization will now be taken over by Medaxo AG after the project received positive feedback in the 2023/2024 winter season.
The municipal council has approved a loan of 66,000 Swiss francs to renovate the filter system in the swimming pool. The water filter has reached the end of its service life and the renovation is already included in the investment program for 2023 to 2028.
Infrastructure projects and further developments
Betelriedgasse 5 to 10 is being renovated because there is no foundation layer that meets the technical requirements and the pavement layers do not meet today’s standards. A loan of 170,000 Swiss francs was approved for this purpose.
The sewer rehabilitation work from Hindere Rychenstein to Mosenried will be awarded to Banholzer Bau AG.
The salt spreader on the Hansa vehicle at the depot will be replaced before next winter, for which the municipal council has approved an additional credit of 19,000 Swiss francs. The new salt spreader will allow for greater flexibility and route consolidation.
New project aims to promote tourism development
Zweisimmen will support the open-air cinema with 3,000 Swiss francs per year for a further three years. The municipal council has also approved an additional credit of 3,500 Swiss francs to support the mountain communities affected by the storm.
A project has been launched with various partners to develop tourism in Sparenmoos, which is being funded with 10,000 Swiss francs. This is intended to help increase the number of overnight accommodations and the sale of regional products.
As before, the Christmas and winter lighting will be installed by the depot staff and the caretaker team. An additional credit of 2,500 Swiss francs was approved to supplement the rope equipment.
The lighting from December 1st is intended to delight locals and guests.
