After the 7-2 defeat in the debut in the First Division last week against ZVV Kroeven, who were relegated from the Eredivisie last year, Middelburg fell behind 0-2 in the first half against OACN Boys in the first home match in the second level of the Netherlands. Thom de Nooijer did something back for the home team after fifteen minutes and with a 1-3 deficit Middelburg seemed to turn the match around. Via two goals by Ryleigh Doesburg and one by Dehinde Eleseri it became 4-3 halfway through the second half, but the team from Zeeland could not hold on to that lead.
