On Friday, April 1, the payments of the thirteenth pension, an additional benefit addressed to 9.7 million seniors, began. All retirees and pensioners will receive them, regardless of their income, informs the family ministry.
– The estimated cost of this year’s 13.1 billion zlotys. The first tranche of the benefit is dedicated to over 1 million seniors. Their wallets will now contain over PLN 1.2 billion – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.

This year, the “thirteen” will be paid in 6 installments together with the April pensions. The additional benefit is paid in the amount of the minimum old-age pension, which this year amounts to PLN 1,388.44 gross and is higher by PLN 87.56 than in 2021. The benefit is paid to approximately 9.7 million seniors.
