Entrepreneurs will have to tighten their belts or lower the wages of workers to restore their previous income. The amount of the minimum wage and the expected wage for the next year are already known, and these indicators determine the majority of ZUS contributions. There is only one parameter left for the health insurance contribution, which, however, can be estimated. And there is no good news for entrepreneurs. Those with higher earnings will earn about PLN 575 less per month.
- Entrepreneurs with at least two years of experience must prepare for an increase in the cost of state levies
- From next year, even without counting the potential increase in the health premium in the Polish Lada, their premium costs will increase by PLN 119
- Together with the effect of the lack of deduction of the health contribution and the increase in its lump sum in the Polish Łada, the cost of the entrepreneur will increase by PLN 575

Some entrepreneurs who have been operating for more than two years will probably soon wonder why they gave up their normal jobs and went on their own. Before the planned levy increases in the Polish Lada (no possibility of deducting health insurance contributions) for individual entrepreneurs they will be admitted in the form of a standard increase. And this standard will be onerous next year.
Not counting the health insurance contribution, the social security contribution will grow by as much as 11 percent, i.e. by PLN 119 per month up to PLN 1194 – calculated by zus.pox.pl. Where does this increase come from? It goes up minimum wage up to 3,000 PLN gross from 2.8 thous. PLN (+7.1 percent). The expected increase in remuneration in the economy in 2022 is 6.4%. according to budget assumptions. These two indicators influence the formation of the flat-rate contribution for entrepreneurs.
Just the height health premiums still remains unknown. According to the current rules, its size would not be given until next year. But it can be estimated.

Health contribution – how much?
The basis for its calculation is currently the amount of 75 percent. average wage in the enterprise sector in the fourth quarter of 2020, including profit payments. Last year it was PLN 4,242.38, and the health insurance premium is 9%. of this amount, i.e. PLN 381.81.
From January to May, the average wage in enterprises increased by 7.4 percent. Every year. If such an increase continues in the fourth quarter of 2021, then the health insurance premium will go up proportionally by 7.4%. from PLN 381.81 to around PLN 410.
Let’s summarize: PLN 1 194 premium without health and PLN 410 for health it gives a total of PLN 1,604 per month, and this year it is PLN 1,457. In other words the average entrepreneur will have to subtract about PLN 147 a month from his earnings under the current rules.
The zus.pox.pl website indicates, however, that with the introduction of the Polish Deal, the health premium will increase. Originally, it was supposed to be proportional to income, but Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki finally announced in June that the new Polish Deal would not completely eliminate the lump-sum health contribution. Instead of 381.81 PLNPLN 328.78 of which could be deducted from tax, however, is to be lump sum PLN 509.08 not deducted from tax – calculated zus.pox.pl. Which, for many more earning entrepreneurs, is a better option than the previously proposed introduction of a contribution proportional to income for all, with no upper limits.
Taking into account the option to deduct health insurance from tax, it turns out that it is payable the lump sum payment will pay PLN 1,703 in premiumswhile so far deducting a part of the health insurance contribution he paid in real PLN 1,128.71. It turns out that choosing the flat-rate option they will pay PLN 575 more per month than today.
Will he accept this cost, or whether it will be passed on to customers or employees, looking for e.g. cheaper ones – each decision will be made on his own. But certain mechanisms in the economy will certainly be triggered by these changes.
