Line 7 between Wülflingen, the main train station and Elsau is to be increased to a frequency of 7.5 minutes during rush hour. Today the buses run every 10 minutes. The Zurich Transport Association (ZVV) announced these and other planned changes in the draft timetables for 2025 and 2026. The over 210 innovations are now available on the Website of the ZVV available.

From December 2024, more buses will also travel to the Eschenberg to the Bruderhaus wildlife park. Line 12 will run all year round instead of only between March and October as before.

A new night connection to Olten is also planned. The S-Bahn line SN11 is supposed to connect Winterthur with Olten via Zurich late at night. In Winterthur, more articulated buses are to be used at night in order to increase capacity.

From Rheinau to Marthalen every half hour

There are also adjustments in the Weinland and the Winterthur area. Line 620 between Rheinau and Marthalen will now run every 30 minutes from the start of operations until 9 p.m. The Marthalen, Dorf stop in the direction of the train station is served every hour after 2 p.m. In the opposite direction, this applies before 2 p.m.

Line 847 between Marthalen and Diessenhofen will now also run every hour on Sundays between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.

On line 670, the trip at 8:04 p.m. from Winterthur main station to Flaach is to be canceled.

Line 680 will also be rerouted from Elgg via the swimming pool and Heurüti to Hofstetten.

According to the draft timetable, an early route on line 720 will also run on weekdays from Volketswil, Zentrum at 5.19 a.m. to Effretikon with a connection to the S3 towards Zurich.

Residents have until March 25th to submit requests for changes in their community. The municipalities, the transport companies and the regional transport conferences then check all entries. The definitive timetables for 2025 and 2026 will then be submitted to the Transport Council for approval.
