Zurich City Police: Bulky items set on fire in front of property

Shortly before 6:30 p.m., the Zurich city police received a report that bulky waste was burning in front of the property at Kernstrasse 14. The professional fire brigade from Protection & Rescue Zurich was able to quickly extinguish the fire. No one was injured.

The material damage amounts to several tens of thousands of francs. A suspect was arrested on site. Further investigations are being carried out by the public prosecutor’s office together with fire investigators from the cantonal police, the Zurich Forensic Institute and the Zurich city police.

Anyone who made observations in connection with the fire in front of the property at Kernstrasse 14, District 4, on Saturday evening, September 7, 2024, at around 6:15 p.m., is asked to contact the Zurich City Police, Tel. 0 444 117 117.
