– City police arrest three telephone fraudsters
A taxi driver, a handyman and a neighbor helped police catch three people who were trying to take money from elderly women.

Three people were particularly attentive this week: They noticed that telephone scammers had pressured senior citizens into handing over several thousand francs and alerted the city police.
According to a police report on Friday, the officers were unable to arrest those behind the attack, but were able to arrest three people involved in the money handover: On Tuesday they arrested a 62-year-old Romanian and a 37-year-old German, and on Thursday they arrested a 29-year-old Afghan
Taxi drivers, tradesmen and neighbors warned
On Tuesday, a taxi driver reported to the police that he drove an elderly woman to a bank where she withdrew a large sum of cash. And on Thursday, a tradesman and a neighbor responded when an elderly woman wanted to withdraw money after a phone call.
The Zurich city police arrested three of the suspected telephone fraudsters during the agreed money transfers. She points out that telephone scammers are currently active again and that you should not hand over cash or valuables to unknown people.
