Zurich City Council introduces costly watering can system for rising heating costs amidst citizen outcry

The left-green city council opts for a watering can system that costs millions. And that will remain so even when the energy crisis is over.

The city of Zurich is introducing a new special social security scheme because of rising heating costs, despite all the warnings from the citizens. Their lack of understanding is all the greater because the money is distributed according to the watering can principle. Secondly, because this is happening without a foreseeable end, although the reason for this is very time-bound: the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
