This spring there were exceptionally long waiting times at Zurich Airport. While waiting times at security checkpoints averaged 17 minutes in April, they were around 13 minutes in May and just ten minutes in June.

This was helped by the change that senior citizens and people without a Swiss passport can now also be employed. As a result, the cantonal police received more applications and was ultimately able to hire more people. The relevant training is currently in progress.
