The announcement will take place between 23-25 February 2021. Rumor has it that the ZTE Axon 30 Pro could be the second device to show off the under-screen camera development.
The news was announced via posting-an on Weibo by ZTE President of Mobile Devices, Ni Fei. The post also mentions that the manufacturer will present the world’s first 3D under-screen structured light technology.
It remains to be seen how this implementation will be used, but there are implications that could aid in more accurate face scans. The post also claims ZTE’s number one position in terms of patents in China.
GSM Arena said the Axon 30 Pro is expected to become ZTE’s flagship in 2021 with Samsung’s yet to be announced 200MP S5KGND sensor. But the big question is whether ZTE manages to improve the image quality of its under-screen camera after the sub-par output of the Axon 20 5G.
According to the leak, the Axon 30 Pro is equipped with Snapdragon 888. The mobile public will certainly continue to get more details about the latest ZTE launch next week.
