ZTE has officially launched the Nubia Z50S Pro. This cellphone has sadistic specifications that make the iPhone 14 wince.
The Nubia Z50S Pro comes in three color variants, two of which carry a rear view like a pocket camera combined with a synthetic leather texture. The rest are inspired by ice blending camera parts adorned with opalescent rings.
The appearance of the Nubia Z50S Pro does indicate that this cellphone is prioritizing camera capabilities. ZTE embeds a 35mm lens, combining a 1G+6P lens with a wide aperture of f/1.59, OIS, and a fairly large 50MP 1/1.49″ sensor.
In addition, this phone is equipped with a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 13mm lens (125° FoV, f/2.0) which doubles as a macro camera because it can focus at a distance of 2.5cm. If you want to shoot from afar, there is an 80mm telephoto lens (OIS, f/2.4) with a 16MP sensor behind it.

Turning to the front of the device, the Z50S Pro features a 6.78″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,260 x 2,800 pixels. It uses a 10-bit panel with 100% DCI-P3 coverage and supports DC dimming and 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
While not as gaming-focused as its Red Magic cousin, the Nubia Z50S Pro’s screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has a 1,000Hz touch sampling rate.
The kitchen runway for this cellphone is supported by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 chipset with a speed of 3.36GHz and an upgraded GPU. This chipset is promised to stay cool with a 4,233mm² vapor chamber cooling system.
Talking about power, the Nubia Z50S Pro sports a 5,100 mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging. According to ZTE, with standard use it can squeeze over 37 hours of battery life. In power saving mode, only 5% charge is enough for 6 hours standby or 30 minutes calls on WeChat.

The ZTE nubia Z50S Pro is available for pre-order in China, but sales start on July 27. There are several versions available, starting with the 12/256GB configuration for 3,700 yuan (Rp 7.7 million). The other configuration is 12GB/1TB and tops out at 16GB/1TB.
