During the autumn campaign that ended 10 days ago, Zoonosis reached more than 2,000 dewormed animals. This campaign was accompanied by the presence of the Mobile Operating Room in some of the outings, resulting in around 230 castrations. Due to a sewage problem, Zoonosis did not attend yesterday and rescheduled the castrations for today, since they solved the problem.
Verena Dietz, head of the Zoonoses area, told Jornada that if it is a complication to get pets out, for this type of campaign they can go without them but “if they are puppies or small, it is preferable to go with them to put deworming drops on them . Like if they want a tick-killing liquid, they should come closer so we can put it on the animal”.
In the offices of Ecuador No. 157, you can access the tick killer in exchange for patenting the pets. “The patent has a cost of $300, which covers the antiparasitic for one year and the rabies vaccine, which is the only vaccine we apply here.” #
