Good news, the Zoom application now offers an identical experience for your video calls made from its app. If it is not recommended to use them during your professional videoconferences, you will be able to use them at will for your personal video calls!
Zoom announces avatars
The famous Zoom application launched a major update at the end of the day yesterday with several novelties and a bunch of patches from bugs that had been brought up by the community in recent weeks.
Zoom now offers a feature Avatarthis allows you to add an avatar instead of your face, you will have the choice between a rabbit, a dog, a cat, a fox, a cow…
With this novelty, Zoom seeks to bring a touch of entertainment in video conversations between colleagues, friends or families.
As with Memoji, avatars will react depending on the emotions on your face, if you smile, your avatar will show a smile, if you open your mouth, it will do the same as you. Obviously, this won’t be as accurate as Memojis that use the TrueDepth sensor to detect the slightest change on your face, but the result should still be up to your expectations!

With this novelty, Zoom has also included security “heavy anti-colleague”if you have a colleague who won’t hesitate for a second to add an avatar during the meeting to make the whole team laugh, know that he can do it only with Administrator’s consent of the conversation.
Avatars in Zoom land exclusively in the version 5.10 of the application, the update is already available on macOS, iOS and computers under Windows.

- Fixed an issue with using original video aspect ratio
