Washington – The video conferencing service Zoom He said Sunday that he is investigating the cause of failures that apparently affected some users’ ability to schedule and connect to meetings.
Zoom, which has become an essential resource during the pandemic of coronavirus because it allows people to meet virtual rather than in person, noted that the problems apparently harmed a limited number of users. Several churches were affected by the failures, and some chose to migrate to Youtube or Facebook or in any case reschedule their religious ceremonies.

Among the pastors whose ceremonies were affected is the Rev. Emmy Kegler of the Grace Lutheran Church in northeast Minneapolis. During the failure, which lasted between 25 and 30 minutes, many people chose to turn to Facebook, but some older adults who relied on Zoom’s video call option due to lack of internet at home had more difficulties.
