Some users of the Zoom app on Mac devices report that the app can still access the user’s microphone after making a call.
One of the things that most modern device users fear is that their devices can hear their conversations even when no apps are running. This can be exploited by hackers to find someone’s weakness.
It turns out, if you are a device user MacOS and the Zoom app, you should be worried. You see, in a recent report, users of these devices and applications found a surprising fact.
Some users noticed that even if they had hung up the call and the app after making the call, the app was still able to access the user’s microphone. This means, the application can listen to the user’s conversation.
Ubergizmo (13/2) reported, the only way to cut off the app’s access to their microphone, the user should completely disable this app, not just hang up the call and move it to the background app.
What’s worse, this bug has been happening since 2021, where the company said it had patched it. But in fact, this bug is still in their app.
Actually, the party Zoom had rolled out another update last month, but the update only fixed the problem in some users. But, mostly they are macOS Monterey users, this bug still remains on their devices.
Until now, it is still unknown whether this bug only occurs in that OS, but in some reports, other OS users are also said to be still encountering the same problem. So before Zoom hasn’t fixed this problem, it’s a good idea to close the Zoom application completely to maintain your privacy.
