Zool | 90’s classic will receive a remake

Zool is back!

It was revealed today by the producer Secret Mode, the release of Zool Redimensioned, the game was developed by Sumo Digital Academy, and will be released on Steam later this month.

The first title in the series was Zool: Ninja of the Nth Dimension, released by Gremlin Graphics in 1992 for the Amiga computer, then there were versions for SNES, Mega Drive, Master System, Game Gear, Game Boy, PC, Atari.

The classic game’s success was due to its extremely fast speed (similar to Sonic) and the appearance of the “Chupa Chups” lollipop brand in the first world. It was popular enough to generate a sequel, which introduced a companion named Zooz.

The new game will have two different modes: Resized for “a more accessible modern experience” and Ultimate Ninja for “a real hardcore challenge”. Players will also be able to play the original version of Mega Drive to see what it was like.
