The CPN Mayor Juan Pablo Sánchez, together with the Production Director, Eng. Javier Quinteros and Eng. Paola Gramajo, toured the greenhouse that is located in the Agronomy of the Zone, where they carry out the work to change plastics, carrying out alfajías with pine wood and continues with the final stage of placing the fundamental half shade for this time, and in this way carrying out the transplanting of seedlings from the municipal greenhouse.
They also toured the sector where the weeding, irrigation and plant maintenance works are carried out; which are carried out in an agroecological way, without the use of any type of herbicide, insecticide or chemical fertilizers.
The control of tomato, squash of the Brazilian, Korean variety and trunk was also carried out; and in a second stage, the growth of corn.
Then they moved to the municipal greenhouse, and verified the different works that are carried out there. They consist of the harvest of vegetable seedlings and the use of greenhouses and plots where lettuce, bell peppers, chard and tomato were transplanted, which will be destined to collaborate with families with scarce resources and producers of the environment.
Finally, the director commented to the mayor that in the next few days the installation of the new irrigation system will be carried out, which will help with the yield of water and fertilization, and that the soon transplantation of tomatoes, bell peppers and vegetables in general will also be carried out.
